Taking on F. Scott

It takes someone very special and very sure of his mission to take on F. Scott Fitzgerald, adding a postscript to his famous quote: “There are no second acts in American lives.”
Enter Michael S. Brown, Founder and CEO of Second Acts.
You see, Michael believes there can be a “Second Act” for the hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats whose lives end in shelter each year. The lucky ones will avoid euthanasia and get taken in by pet rescue organizations.
Even the smallest animal rescue organizations continually keep animals safe until they are delivered to a new home, a new family. Volunteers work around the clock sometimes to bottle feed those too small to feed themselves. They give up their homes to the rescues and often much of their paychecks.
Second Acts was established to help them to continue to help those who cannot help themselves. Second Acts distributes 100% of all donations received to small, volunteer-run groups nationwide that adopt a no-kill policy.
