title pic McCoy finds a friend

Sunday, August 15th
Quiet day with McCoy resting most of the time.

Sleepy on the couch

He is too short to get up on the couch by himself, but he was invited to do so. That made me think of another reason he will be such a great pet to someone. He is also to short to drink out of the toilet bowl!

McCoy going for casual walks and getting time outside in the back yard. Today we met another beagle walker and compared some notes. Her little dog was pretty shy and backed away, while McCoy really wanted to share some stories with her.

Tuesday, August 17th

We got a little toy giraffe for McCoy, thinking he might like to play with something. He pretty much ignores it and one of our cats is waiting to see if McCoy leaves it behind when he goes.

But, McCoy did discover something in the house – another beagle, perhaps? And he did want to play. This time I had the camera!

Haven't we met somewhere before?

When McCoy came to us he had a habit of spraying. He sprayed once at our house and we decided to take Tanya’s advice and keep him in the crate. He never really complained – once he was inside, that is.

By now, the crate is an option. His. The door is left open and he chooses to retreat there for napping and possibly to get away from the Kitty Spy Group living in the house.

He is done with his pain pills and eye drops, and still on an antibiotic. A lot of progress made here for all of us.

Beagles are terrific pets. Wouldn’t you just love to adopt McCoy?
