McCoy: Mission Possible

We learned that McCoy cannot go into the shelter until 30 days after his HW treatment. The second shot of HW medication was given at the clinic on 8/13.
After researching the cause and effect of HW and the ensuing treatment, we shortened his walks and kept the pace slow. He may eat one day and not the next. And sleeping, sleeping, sleeping. McCoy is doing a great job of self-healing.

Every inch of the way – from rescue to temporary fostering, treatment at the clinic, aiding and abetting his recovery, loving and nurturing – everyone involved is working to get McCoy ready for his new family.

Mission Possible, Part 1 is complete – McCoy was not euthanized as planned by the animal services, his health is in good repair and he has had some much needed loving. We carefully scheduled our watch so he could have our full attention and as much time as he needed from us. Due to prior commitments, that time for us has run out.
We are waiting for word on another foster home for McCoy – Mission Possible, Part 2.

Today we say good-bye to McCoy. We look forward to the day Mission Possible, Part 3, is complete. That’s the day his new family shows up to take him to his forever home! They can be assured he is healthy and happy. No one could ask for a better dog, and they will find that out from the moment they adopt.
Please check with Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue if you or someone you know is interested in adopting a perfect dog. That would be McCoy!
Best wishes, buddy. We love you.
