I am not scary or wicked!

“The really great thing about cats is their endless variety. One can pick a cat to fit almost any kind of decor, color scheme, income, personality, mood. But under the fur; whatever color it may be, there still lies, essentially unchanged, one of the world’s free souls.” – Eric Gurney

In 2011, for the 20th consecutive year, ISAR has assisted animal rights/welfare organizations, as well as concerned individuals, in 38 states and 18 foreign countries by making their International Homeless Animals’ Day events a success. Please click on the video slideshow below to view photos from some of last year’s events.

Twenty years ago, ISAR launched International Homeless Animals’ Day as a means of educating and informing people all over the world of the tragedy that overwhelms animal shelters each year – pet overpopulation. The movement has grown significantly since 1992, and International Homeless Animals’ Day is reserved by ISAR on the third Saturday of August every year. ISAR’s purpose and the purpose of all who participate is to promote new campaigns, programs, and ideas on the solution to the pet overpopulation epidemic: spay/neuter.

For more information on how you can participate, visit our International Homeless Animals’ Day page, here.

It is no secret that pets and people make magical connections that improve life for both. But what would happen to your pets if you were unable to care for them due to injury or poor health?
I recently received an email from a wonderful organization in New York. As a non-profit, all volunteer organization, they are committed to keeping people and their pets together.
Please watch their video and pass it on.

The video really says it all!
Visit their site, Paws NY to learn more about their services.
